I began working with Cathy when I was approaching a crossroad in my career. Although I had tried traditional career counselling in the past, I felt it was unsuccessful as it didn't help me move forward to find something quite different from what I had been doing - managing an in-house research department. I wanted a career that would excite me and mesh with the values and goals I held with respect to family and career, which Cathy had helped me articulate. Once we had developed several possibilities, Cathy helped me move forward in manageable steps until I eventually hit a point at which everything came together and one particularly interesting idea took off. In July of 2004, I opened a retail papercraft studio which allowed me to continue the business aspects of my previous job, with the creative aspects of my hobbies. I have recommended Cathy's approach to others and will continue to do so.
