Where will we meet?
Typically coaching sessions are conducted by telephone, in person or in some combination. Many clients prefer the convenience of telephone coaching and some report that telephone sessions are more focused. Others prefer the personal contact of face-to-face sessions. Many clients use coaches outside of their immediate geographic area and sometimes across many time zones. These relationships are generally carried out completely by telephone and are just as effective as face-to-face relationships.

Is there a minimum time commitment I must make if I hire Tiger Lily?
You will be asked to commit to a minimum six month relationship and typically relationships will last longer at your request. While frequently clients see tangible benefits much earlier than six months, it usually takes six months before they achieve long-term sustainable change.
However, not all coaches are right for all people. If you find the relationship is not working and we have taken reasonable steps to address your issues, you will not be obliged to continue. However, we will schedule a completion session to give both of us the opportunity to work through what was and wasn't working and, if desired, refer you to another, more suitable coach.

What satisfaction guarantees do you provide?
The best way to guarantee satisfaction is to commit to the coaching - commit to attending sessions, commit to completing homework assignments and commit to being open to new ideas and new ways of looking at things. You will also be asked to commit to being open and honest about what is and is not working for you and to ask for what you need to make the relationship serve you the best it can. The responsibility and accountability for your success rests with you. The role of the coach is to show up ready to coach, to use skill and professionalism in service of your agenda and to hold you accountable for moving forward on the things that are most important to you. Clients who commit to the relationship generally experience significant benefits.

Is my confidentiality protected?
Yes. Client confidentiality is the hallmark of an ethical coaching relationship. Confidentiality protects both the content of the sessions, and, if you prefer, the fact that there is a relationship at all. There are, however, a couple of important exceptions.
The coach / client relationship is not covered by legal privilege and as a result, a coach may be compelled by law to reveal the nature and the content of discussions.
Also, in some instances where an employer is contracting with the coach to work with an employee on a specific issue or set of issues, the coach may be asked to provide periodic progress reports or reveal certain information as part of the agreement. In these instances, the precise nature and extent of what can and cannot be revealed to a third party is negotiated and agreed to by all parties in writing before the coaching begins.
